What is Unfinished Stories?

This is a therapeutic space built on the belief that each of us carries a unique story—shaped by moments of joy, pain, hope, uncertainty, and change.

At times, our experiences can feel overwhelming or difficult to make sense of. In these moments, it may be hard to know where to turn, how to cope, or how to move forward.

Therapy offers a space to slow down and gently explore these experiences with care and curiosity. Through this process, we can begin to understand ourselves more deeply, recognise our strengths, and find ways to navigate what feels difficult with greater awareness and compassion.

Over time, therapy can help us reconnect with ourselves and shape our stories in ways that feel more meaningful, authentic, and our own.

Meet your Therapist

I’m Janice, therapist and founder of Unfinished Stories.

My work is rooted in trauma-informed and queer affirmative care, with a therapeutic approach that draws from modalities like CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative practices, and Inner Child work.

I see therapy as a collaborative space—one that invites curiosity, self-understanding, and meaningful change. My work is not centred around “fixing” pain or viewing people through the lens of what is broken. Instead, therapy can offer us the space to gently explore our experiences, hold the parts of ourselves that often go unseen or shunned with more compassion, and create shifts that feel authentic and sustainable.

At the same time, therapy does not always have to be heavy or deeply intense. It can also be a space for lighthearted conversations, sharing moments of joy, laughing about the small and silly things in life, and learning to find meaning in the everyday. I believe healing often exists not only in the difficult moments we process, but also in the ways we reconnect with ourselves, others, and the life we want to build.

I recognize and acknowledge that our experiences can deeply shape and sometimes, rewire the way that we perceive and relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.

I believe that such traumatic experiences need to be approached with sensitivity, care and with an understanding that healing does not happen through pressure or re-living experiences before you feel ready.

This is a space that welcomes and affirms diverse identities, experiences, and ways of being. You do not have to explain or justify who you are in order to feel seen, respected, and supported here.

Collaborative & Eclectic

Every person's experiences and needs are different, which is my therapeutic approach will be tailored to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My work draws from different modalities to support you in ways that are meaningful and relevant to your journey.

Gentle & Human

Therapy does not always have to be intense or heavy. Apart from the deeper work that we do, this space also invites lighthearted conversations, curiosity, reflection, and even laughter. These ordinary moments make us feel more connected to ourselves and our lives.
